Saying NO to ATLANTA this year.

The votes are in: i'll be saying no to Atlanta for this year's annual MLK festivities.

MLK weekend has become sort of an unofficial 'pride' celebration for many of us actively involved in the national house ball community.

Last year I had lots of fun. This year I have too much going on in terms of dissertation research, prepping for teaching, conference presentations. etc. I'm sure the "kids" will be able to carry on without me.

There will be quite a lot going on this weekend. For those interested, the annual Atlanta Award's Ball (hosted by Andre Mizrahi) will take place on Sunday night at the Butler St. YMCA (17 Jesse Hill Drive, Atlanta, GA 30303). Doors open (supposedly) at 5pm. Insiders hint: just be there by 1:30 am and you'll be fine. Email me at frankroberts@nyu.edu if you need more info.
