Of course it was no "Whitney Houston" performance, but it was a good (pre-recorded) performance nonetheless. And Jordin's face looked great. Isn't that all that matters?

Being prerecorded is not her fault (Whitney was too) - the producers and networks have had the national anthem prerecorded every year since 1993. It will always be prerecorded. Timing of these pre-game events need to be perfect.
Look up "The Making of the Super Bowl" by Don Weiss on google books P. 204.
Never mind about Jordin for the moment, (or her perceived weight for that matter ) — what about the jingoistic presentation of the whole thing with the simulcast soliders in Iraq. America—your one fucked-up place.
