As I’ve previously mentioned here at canwebefrank.com, I am one of the co-stars of an exciting new documentary by French director Jean-Baptiste Errecca (in collaboration with Anna Margarita Albelo) about “post-gay” cultural identities in New York City, Madrid, Berlin, and Paris.

I have just been notified that the film, which is appropriately entitled “Gay, Et Apres?” (“Gay…So What?”) will be debuting this month at the Paris Gay and Lesbian Film Festival from November 13th to 20th at the Rex Cinema in Paris, France. The screening will take place on November 15th.

The film will also be broadcast on CANAL+ TV (a sort of French version of PBS) on
NOV 23, 2007.

My segment, which was shot over the course of several hot days this summer, features clips of me hanging out on Christopher Street and in Bed Stuyvesant, Brooklyn with my buddy Rasean Chanel (right) discussing the cultural politics of house ball culture, the “down low” and other localized “queer” black cultural practices.

From what I understand Jean-Baptiste will be posting some clips from my segment on his website, but this wont take place until after November 23rd.
