do you see what i see?
Leave it to fellow Brooklynite Marc Baptiste to mastermind this photograph of Q-Tip (and, dude, where the fuck have you been?) and Ms. Erykah Badu for the new issue of Trace Magazine. The cover manages to be at once futuristic (if we can agree that Q-Tip's afro-punk baby mohawk exudes a certain kind of futurity, no?) and retro-nostalgic (embodied in Ms. Badu's 70ish fro).
The erotic, phallic subtexts of this photograph are less than subtle, at least to my eyes. Q-Tip's "head" is looking quite pointy, sharp, and firm. And of course the white penmanship letters spread graciously across these two gorgeous, glistening brown bodies invokes some kind of....oh, I dont know....cum?
I'm diggin it. Aint nutt-hing much else to say.
i do see it...let's also point to the fact that he is shall we say--fleshy?! uhm, not necessarily tight around the mid-section. He has what Perez Hilton has defined as "moobies" (man boobies) or man titties as I like to call them.
