Walking In The City: A Summer Night's Stroll

Last night, for the second day in a row, Charles and I walked from Pinkberry in Chelsea to my apartment in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. I tell ya', nothing beats a New York City summer evening.
The route we take consists of walking down eight avenue through Chelsea; to Hudson Street along the West Village, swinging up East Houston through Nolita and through till Bowery; Bowery through the Lower East Side and onto Delancey, Delancey to the Williamsburg Bridge, walking across the Williamsburg Bridge (excellent jogging route!), passing through Williamsburg's stunning Hassidic Jewish community, and finally ending up in good ol' do-or-die Bedstuy. Along the way we snap a few pics of the city's many, gritty, urban sites.
1 glass of Orange Juice for Lunch at 2pm
A little less than half of a Chicken Breast and a small serving of spinach and broccoli for Dinner
13 oz of Pinkberry with Strawberries and Mangos at 9:30pm
5 oz of Plain Pinkberry at 9:35pm (lol)

After my ten mile walk, I had to have 1 bottle of Vitamin Water and 1 bottle of Gatorade. And that was it for the day. Tonight i'll be walking from Chelsea to Bedstuy again, which should make this three straight days in a roll. As I mentioned yesterday, I'm trying to make this a three-times-a-week thing.

If you're in the West Village tonight, maybe you'll see me out and about. Im being interviewed by Anna Margarita Albelo, the French documentary filmmaker, whose working on a new project on global "post-gay" cultures. We'll be discussing the on-going controversies about the "gay gentrification" of the West Village and its effects on black and Latino queer youth.
See ya'll later.

Frank,
While I'm a definite critic of your newly adopted "Pinkberry Diet", I'm LOVING the walks! Now, THAT is how you do it...having fun and doing something proactive, and still reaping the fitness benefits! Are you planning on mapping out any alternative routes in case you get bored? You're on to something there, my man...and I enjoyed the urban scenes you captured.
We gotta talk about that diet though...Pinkberry sounds pretty tasty (haven't tried it yet), but it's a TASTY TREAT, and not a meal. Alas, you are a grown ass man and will do what you wish. Holler at me if you have any specific nutrition/workout questions. I'd be happy to help.

My friend became a Vegan at the beginning of this year. She lost six dress sizes. That could be a healthier alternative for you to think about.
LOVE the urban art.
