Last night I had a fantastic photo shoot in my home with my favorite photographer (and very close friend) Luna Luis Ortiz. There were so many great shots I really didnt know which ones to post. Above is just a montage of some of the ones that struck me the most. Sorry that some of them repeat or look the same---like I said, I really didnt know which to choose from. I had to seriously crop the sizes in order to get them on this blog--they look a lot stronger in their full 8 x 10 glossy format. Later on, i'll try to post them one by one. Any in particular that you like? This was just a preliminary shoot of about four or five more to come. The photos will be used as a part of the slow re-vamping of my website www.frankleonroberts.org that will be taking place over the next few weeks. Eventually, the site should feature a series of images of me photographed by Ortiz, who i'm currently working with on a book monograph and visual archive that documents the history of the underground house ball scene in New York City.

The pics are hot! I'm really feelin' the hoody pic though.

YOU BETTER WORK that wire trash can frank l. roberts. the pictures are HOT HOT HOT!!! i love them all. now didn't you say goodbye to blogging. c'mon now make up your mind punk! love it!

The pictures are nice, but can we see you smile? A smile would have been icing on the cake.

So...You think you are cute huh?
Ok I agree with Trent you get crazy point for the pic with the hoody and a few bonus points for the others I won't say which ones though....

Shirtless and soapy, thats what the hell I'm talkin' 'bout! The waste bin was cute too. I'm with evan though, give me a smile, a frown, anydamnthing! There is, admittedly, a slight variation here of what I've dubbed the "blank Frank," so, kudos for that, but I'd still like to see some risky range-of-expression photos.

Not a single smile?

Pure Vanity....what a shame

"I have one thing to say You better work bitch." (in rupaul voice) Super Model of the World. LOL

P.S why you have a waste basket on your damn head? lol we have to talk

adorable and sexy. I still want to see you smile.

Frank doesn't smiles for pictures, he only smiles after a nut!

Personally I love them all, especially the waste basket or is it a couture hat?

I so do love good photography and your pics are hot, hot, hot. They absolutely sizzle. You are delicious with a spoon stuck in it.lol

i like the wire trash can effect...
Justin

The trash looks...nevermind..ummm..why the trash can?..im confuzzled...nice blog anyway

well allright then...had no idea that was a trash can...I thought u were gone...see

Dayum a garbage can never looked so sexy!

I don't know what look you are aiming at, but the picture with your head in trash can is quite good. It is different and artsy. The other one I like a lot was the one where the camera is peeking in at you -that is so awesome. For professional purpose I would choose the one with your foot on the stack of books.

Glad to have you back.

Mr. Leon,

Yessssss! There is nothing like a photo shoot to make you understand the volumes that you speak to your public each day.

Each pictoral view captures the essence of a side of you that some of us never get a chance to see.

The collage of pictures spoke more than a page to me, it was cleansing for me. We are beatiful in our own minds and in print.

From Street to Suds you have it going on BABY. Live the good life for me.

Big Ups to Luna Luis Ortiz for the Eye of Piccaso.

As always in Parting,

I came in Peace and in Peace I leave.

The various sides of Mr. Frank León Roberts....What great visuals. It's amazing how so much about a person can be conveyed through photographs. You're wide-ranging and beautiful visually and in print. Luna Luis Ortiz is a very talented photographer. A job well done!

If trash cans could add to everyone's appearance like that, it would quickly become a fashion statement. Headlines: "Fashion Industry Ablaze with Trash Can Headwear by Frank Leon." LOLOLOL. Glad to see you post even occasionally. Shem hotep!

Nice pics... Just passing by... Keep up your great work..

I like the ones where your looking in the mirror and the one where your sitting by the candle lit stairs....

I agree with everyone....you make a waste basket look darn good!

YOU BETTER GET IT!

I hear that as a direct result of your photos, Pottery Barn sold completely out of wire waste baskets.

Very nice photos if I lived in the NYC and was single I would definately holla or attempt to at you...You are a handsome man but you never smile Frank. Do that once. I didn't get the photos with the lampshade or wastebasket on your head. Beauty like yours petit papan should never be covered; over all though tres, tres beau cher.
