The Wednesday (Why?) Wait-a-Minute is a new weekly feature at BrooklynBoyBlues.
Wednesday (why?) Wait-a-Minutes are simple attempts for us to stop, breathe for a minute, and ask some of the questions that we might have had floating around in our heads for a few days but for some reason couldn’t get it out on Monday or Tuesday. You can either choose to ask WHY, or just ask "WAIT A MINUTE…."
- Wait a minute, now that I’m moving to Harlem does this mean that this blog is no longer a Brooklyn Boy’s blues?
- Wait a minute, am I the only mutherfucka that’s on the verge of committing a homicide (no, not a suicide) if he hears Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” on the radio one more time?
- Wait a minute, why do I feel like people are finding it more difficult everday to come up with juicy and innovative new blog topics?
- Now wait a dam minute…Speaking of blog posts, am I the only person that wants to know how the hell The Humanity Critic manages to receive an AVERAGE of 30 responses per thread?!
- “Wait a minute, wasn’t Frank supposed to be writing about R. Kelly’s new single “Trapped In the Closet?” (says the crowd)
- Wait a minute, why havent I ever met a black person that doesnt list The Color Purple as one of their favorite films (and hasnt reenacted the scene were Celie and her sister start playing paddy-cake while they're being split up?)
- Wait a minute, why is The Color Purple my favorite film (and why do i frequently reenact the scene chronicled above...?)
- Wait a minute, why havent I ever met a gay black man that doesnt remember the scene in Jason's Lyric where Jada & Allen Payne hump in the grass?
- Wait a minute, what ever happened to the hype around my husband Mario Vasquez?

wait a minute... are you sure this is going to happen every wednesday. wait a minute... you are leaving brooklyn and moving to harlem and still having brooklyn boy blues... hmm. i can't wait a minute i got stuff to do. and i stay away from the radio so i can avoid hearing the same songs every hour. ugh!

Wait a minute, if you read my profile the color purple was not there. I did not remember the scene in the grass because I have not seen the movie.
As for moving to Harlem with a Brooklyn blog title the blues can be explained for you missing the place. So you do not have to change the name not that you would. LOL

Since you are the originator of the wait a minute post I won't swipe it. Cause you are innovative.
You're right people have been loosing their zest on blogs (including me...I don't appreciate you calling me out either) because they'd rahter just post something instead of posting nothing...it's like a crime to leave a day old post or something.
And Imma need you not to be reinacting scenes from that movie...you're giving me too much...

wait a minute....Why is it now Thursday and I still have not fully recovered from the function known as NYC Pride??
Sorry I was unable to attend on Saturday but I sent several representatives of the show and the accolades keep pouring in.
Oh and stop picking on Mariah this comeback is major!
