leon's on sabbatical....
have you marked your calendars yet? its just 10 days away.

What's up people! This week is extraordinarily insane for me as Jason Cooper and I are still trying to close a deal on a funky Harlem condo.
-
We've found a beautiful 2Br Duplex in a gorgeous stone brick Limestone Townhouse on 142nd and Amsterdam. Everything about this apartment is perfect but one thing: they want us to sign a 2 year lease!!!! Should we do it?
-
Secondly, my forthcoming book (a critical collection of essays addressing contemporary concerns around sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and black men in the U.S.) published jointly by the Black AIDS Institute, New York State Black Gay Network, AIDS Project Los Angeles, The Gay Men's Health Crisis and the National Black Justice Coalition is slightly behind schedule and late!
-
I have to spend the rest of this week finishing the manuscript. Additionally, I'm busy planning and promoting for my event at Black Pride NYC 2005 at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe.
-
So unfortunately I am not going to be able to blog this week! Leon has to take a little leave of absence, I wouldnt want to burn myself out. ya'll wouldnt want me pulling a Mariah Carey circa 2003, would ya?
-
My blast-off post on the politics of R. Kelly's latest hit "Trapped In The Closet" is going to have to wait until the end of this week.
-
People, dont forget about me! I want to know what's going on in your lives! Send me some blog love and I hope to see you all on the 25th of June at Nuyorican.
-
(Said with puppy dog eyes):Will you miss me? I'll miss you
-
I'll be back next week with new features, new visuals, and a revitalized spirit. Expect the official announcement of the categories for BLACK BLOGGER AWARDS as well a host of new columns and interviews.
-
In the meantime here is a special shout-out to all of the blogger boys and girls who constantly show me love, and who I love even more. What would I do without the mental, emotional, physical, and cyboric support of.........

What would you like to see from BROOKLYNBOYBLUES in the near future?
What topic or task does Frank Leon Roberts need to cover?
What unforeseen territory do we need to chart together?

Leon, BOOOOOOO...
Frank, YAY!!!
Now you know that you will be missed. But, since I am attending the function that you are planning, I can forgive you for doing your thing to make it hott.
I thank you for listing me on your wall of love.
Take your time and do it right.
As always in Parting,
I came in Peace and in Peace I leave.
