Unexplained Affective Responses to Jay Z

Today I stumbled across Jay-Z's brand new single "History" (Obama) and broke down into tears. It's official folks, I must be on the verge of a mental break down. That's the only explanation that I can possibly come up with to explain why in the hell I would ever be in tears over anything written, produced, or performed by Jay Z.

But have you heard the actual song? Am I officially loosing my mind, or is there indeed something that is touching about it? Tell me what you think.

Hi Frankbear, nice video

I just can't get over the personification of misery and defeat as WOMAN. UGH..I'm over it.But, I guess as American is continuously made woman I guess that is the justification. It's a nice song, nonetheless. No tears.

Frank, thanks for sharing this video...I didn't think Jay had it in him to produce something like this...

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

I'm really not mad at Jay Z for this song. My personal take on it is; this man feels that success isn't good enough anymore. I do think he is referring to his music as being his son though. Not a problem. Just an observation. He thrives for better obverses of life. All in all, he wants to be remembered. I say bravo to him.

Wow, That was a emotional video. I commend Jay-Z I'm definitely feeling that. History, a moment to remember, far beyond when im gone..I'm feeling that. Thanks for sharing bro.

you're not the only one having a mental breakdown. i held back the tears, but they wanted to come. your blog is dope.

NICE SONG - WASN'T REALLY MOVED TO TEARS , NOR ANY WHERE NEAR IT - BUT IT WAS NICE NONE THE LESS
