Unexpected Weekend Rendezvous

My naughty alter-ego unexpectedly re-emerged this weekend. In desperate need of a break from the pressures of academia, my wifey Marisha and I took to the gritty streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn to attend a series of house parties. We took our adopted son Rodney along for the ride. Rather than go so far as to actually wear costumes, Marisha and I decided that we would just loosely embody the personalities of two our favorite 1980s cool black kids: Theo and Vanessa Huxtable (though later we decided that we actually looked a little more like Dwayne Wayne and Jalisa from "A Different World"). Here are a few pics.

Who is Lamar Ariel and what is his new book "Ready to Male" about?

my first time here, but I have to comment. I love photo blogs. A Different World costumes were great!

i know that girl. does the derrick guy have the root veggie head?

For God sake, don't get me wrong, I love your blog and your a great guy—
but, as an academic could you maybe start to analyze your facial posturing. I'm talking about that facial expression you perform for the camera in every single picture of yourself. Smile God damn it, or frown—Anything but the void of any irony, "I'm a serious mofo" thing.
