Frank's little mini-national black pride ball tour continues. I'll be in the Motor City this weekend to cover the House of Escada Ball for Flavalife. This is my first time in Detroit, what should I expect?I hear the kids are kinda rough in those parts, eh? I'll also be at the "Hotter Than July" Black Pride events that will also be going on this weekend, so let a brotha know whats hot, and whats not.

Hey Frank I am in Detroit this weekend (I'm from Detroit but lately I've been in NYC - a lot)The StrongArm party on Friday night at the Palladium on McNichols street aka 6mile should be hot, it is one of the best venues in the city. Also they have the really big party on Saturday night till like 4:30am Usually very hot..I am not sure of the exact location (address that is I know the spot) so send me an e-mail its lucidambition on yahoo. I'm from DC and visiting Detroit this weekend for "Hotter than July". For info and directions, see: http://www.strongarmdetroit.com
Typically, this production group, (I think the owners name is Tony Winn -- he's fine too) sponsors the best events.
One on Friday at the Palladium & on Saturday at a downtown spot. Typically off the chain. Detroit is slowly moving in the right direction. After last nice at the Woodward, I have to pace myself.

On Friday (7/28)there was a large group/gang (10-20) of black males robbing, beating and shooting gay men around the Palladium and the Woodward bar after closing... Did anyone witness this? Welcome to Detroit!
