pucker those lips Ashley...I remember the first time I heard that MaryKate & Ashley Olsen were coming to NYU's Gallatin School. I was a senior at Gallatin (which is NYU's "earthy", artsy, my-parents-are-hippies-from-Berkeley division), and all the white kids were going crazy about it. I didnt grow up watching full house (more like Family Matters), so I didnt give a fuck. Most of the black kids on campus were talking about Bill Cosby's daughter (who was also graduating from NYU that year) and a few other assorted celebrity children. Most of us really gave two hoots about the two ivory twins.
Two and a half years later and Mary Kate & Ashley are sophomores, live in an multi-million dollar condo on the upper west side, and apparently were superstar students in an intro to African American studies course taught last year on campus (reportedly these sisters/sistahs love discussing black politics, go figure). Considering that these two do practically everything together, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ashley Olsen in the new issue of oh-so-wannabe-retro Nylon Magazine. Homegirl is looking all grown and sexy. Well, not really, but at least she tries. Its cute. Take a look:
Baby girl, I'm gonna have to take you to Miss Joanne in Harlem to have those boopies pumped if you're trying to push out your chest here sistah....
