This weekend was hot like fire. Saturday night the ballroom scene got the year started right with the much anticipated House of Icon Ball in Brooklyn. It was definitely hot; an all-out "Who's who" of the ballroom's best and brightest.

After missing my category last month at Jack's Superball Sunday (read about that bullshit here), I was seconds away from missing it again, but alas I was victorious. And I won. Much love to all those that I ran into and had fun with while mingling through the 300+ crowd, including Father Mike & Whitney Miyake Mugler, sexy little CJ Blahnik, Rucka Revlon, Dante Aphrodite (you know I was waiting to see you turn-it for Sex-Siren), Baby & Mike Aphrodite (I digged our little McDonald's conversation waiting for hash browns at 7 in the morning, lol), Father Stiffy Revlon, Duron Revlon, Little Tony Milan, Kristina Tsnumani, Kas Prestige, Legendary Mother Luna Khan (sitting all night as trade! and the final battle between you and Josh Milan was HOT. I really wish I had more time to go to balls and experience all the FEVER, but everytime I think I had free time, I feel guilty if I don't rehearse.
Thanks for keeping us all abreast as to what's going on in the scene. Do you know of any areas on the west coast where the ball scene is popular? I miss attending--not walking. Walking is terrifying.lol

Frank....first congrats on your win....seems like you deserved it although i didnt see pics of your competition.
I truly find the ball scene confusing at times yet enticing the other....I know that when I hit up New York in February I am going to get some literature on it.....or maybe even go to one....when I get my dates of my trip I will hit you up to know if anything is going on during that time!
