See you later...Not Goodbye.
All good things dont have to "come to an end," but they do have to change. With that said, i'm putting BrooklynBoyBlues to rest for a while. For months I've been saying that I would finally launch a new, more professional site, http://www.canwebefrank.com/, but I've been continously distracted and lazy.
But it's been a journey, this little blog, eh? For two long years you've witnessed my local travels in the lands of Crown Heights, Brooklyn to Harlem/Washington Heights to Brooklyn all over again (Bedstuy). Along the way you've gotten a sneak peak into the world of my naughty, anthropological alter-ego "Frank Mizrahi" via 4,000 pics from balls across the country. It's been great. You've even listened patiently while I ranted and raved about everything from Mariah Carey to Mario Vasquez.
But quite "frankly," I think i've run out of substantive things to say. So its time for me to do some "soul searching" and come back Nike fresh. I'm putting this blog on hiatus indefinitely and eventually will launch a real website. While this might only take a few weeks, it might take the rest of the summer. Who knows.
Speaking of which, I am still looking for someone who is willing to jazz up a simple wordpress-style site for me. My homegirl Delphine's wordpress site is a good example of what I want mine to look like. Simple, classy, effective. Who wants to help out? (yes, this is another ghetto public cry for web-assistance).
LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I want to make sure that I dont loose contact with ANY of you! So listen up: please send me an email at CANWEBEFRANK@GMAIL.COM so I can build a mailing list of sorts. I want to know who's out there! It's been an absolute pleasure recieving hundreds of emails from folks all over the world who have been amused or abused by this tiny, little blog. I'll be sure to send you an email when the new site is finally up and keep you updated with anything worthwhile. I'm serious dammit, if you read this blog, EMAIL me right now so that I can have your email on file. This also applies to anyone who needs to contact me for "business": i.e. op-eds, speaking arrangements, quotes, etc.

Frankie baby, you must continue to write. There is nothing better than drinking my morning coffee and reading your every word. Brooklyn Boy Blues is everything, I use it for resourse, I use it to get updated, I use it for ideas... Don't end it or it'll be the end of an era...love u.

i'm just a random person that stops by this blog every once in awhile, but wow - it's such a shame to see that you're not going to write in it anymore, it's been so informative and entertaining. i really enjoyed reading your writing while i got the chance, though. good luck with any future endeavors!

Frank, your blog was one of the first blogs I read. I was hooked instantly and kept coming back for more. Thanks for enlightening my blog experience. I'm going to miss conversations. Can't wait to see the new site. Wish you the best.
