Clik Magazine's brand new issue is on stands now. Yours truly wrote the cover story, which is a special six page feature on the changing face of the house-ball community. During Labor Day weekend the magazine and I held a special photo-shoot that featured some of the best and brightest legends, statements, and stars in the contemporary ball scene (see group photo below). Only "Mothers" and "Fathers" were allowed at the shoot. After the session was over, Dwight Powell (editor-in-chief) and Clik's editorial staff reviewed the images and decided to chose Andre Mizrahi, Mariah Balenciaga, and Ruben Mizrahi as the magazine's cover. Here they are below:
CLIK MAGAZINELooking good eh? I'm really proud of all three of them. Now before the kids start accusing me of "house favoritism" for having Andre and Ruben on the cover, let me just stress that I'm just a writer and had nothing to do with the final decision regarding the visuals! lol. But naturally, i'm happy to see Andre, Ruben, and Mariah looking all grown and sexy, representing our community the right way. I know it wasnt an easy decision for the editors of CLIK to decide who would grace the cover.

Man, I read that article. WOW, that was the most depth explanation of the ballroom culture that I have ever read. Why don't you start teaching a class on it? Or go around and speaking to classes and whatnot about the ballroom scene...Just my thoughts...
Oh about what I wrote, yeah I can do that b/c I'm not in the scene, and it was true. As far as ole boy in the trunks, I'm going to leave him alone, I'll just admire from afar...lol

This was an absolute wonderful,condensed, interesting, and well-written contribution to ballroom discourse! Go Brotha Frank.

I agree with wiseyoungman, that is the most extensive, informative, and opulant dissertation(if you will) of the Ballroom Culture. Well done!
