I stumbled through the crowd to find the griot of the ballroom scene, the one and only Paris Dupree. Yes, Paris Dupree as in the man that gave "Paris Is Burning" its name.
The icon of exotic dark and lovely face Nigel Miyake-Mugler was in the building in the V.I.P. area
Me and my little sis, the drop-dead gorgeous Amiyah Mizrahi of Atlanta...that "new bitch" for Femme Queen Face
Ruben and I, two of three co-founders of the new fraternity Gamma Phi Q, posed for a candid with our Mother, the Legendary Jackie O
The kids rolled into the ball one by one, done for the gods...
While J.T. Mizrahi and Melvin Gamma Phi Q laughed and had fun before the ball began...

The legendary Derek Prada, one of the judges for the evening, got ready to take the stage with his devil-in-a-brown-suit shades

And the commentators hurried through "Legends, Statements, and Stars"....
Leyomi Mizrahi, the secret weapon of the legendary House of Mizrahi was in the building looking like a strong, confident young Tina Turner
The House of Mizrahi has always been known for being "fire and ice"---a montage of different and vivacious personalities. The grace and calm of Father Ruben (right) is supplemented with the raw, wild energy of Leyomi (left).....Father Ruben had his eye on one category in particular that night.....

As the lights dimmed, few thought that the drop-dead gorgeous Zerric Miyake Mugler could be sat down....

then there was Randy Balenciaga, the walking statue...
bringing us back to the days of Whitney and Ira in the name of classic ballroom carta 
The gorgeous Mike Aphrodite, royal prince of the legendary House of Aphrodite, known for his striking elements and beaming glow....
A reincarnation of Brian Infiniti, the epitome of structure, skin, teeth, and nose--the essential elements of "face"
along with his mother the poised and mysterious Ryu Aphrodite,the exotic ruler of butch queen face....
always poised with his dark eyes and striking features.....-
the crowd watched on eagerly as each face diva made their bid for the evening's most coveted title....
and in the end it was Jacen Prodigy of Philadelphia who reigned supreme.....
unveiling ice blue eyes and hair

the one and only Mother Tempress Miyake Mugler, legendary before her time, the golden girl of next generation....
backed by her daughter Paris Miyake-Mugler, the quinessential mafiosa daughter
Javonte Miyake Mugler applied last minute touch ups as Tempress proceeded to the floor
but Mother Barbie Mizrahi of Virginia declared that this was her night to shine...the "perfect 10"
but in the end Barbie passed the torch it to that new beauty, the immaculateAmiyah Mizrahi of Atlanta...
she captured the crown with her unflinching beauty...winning the hearts of the judges and crowd alike...
so much so that the world famous Eva of Next Top Model put in a personal request for a picture with Amiya....
but there were other battles to take place....indeed, the war had just begun.

The RUNWAY girls were ready to storm. 
All the way from Chicago, Savion Blahnik came to "raise hell"....
But that new bitch Dominque Prodigy said "not tonight....", its my turn to break through...
But Atlanta's Runway of the Year Keith Mizrahi simply laughed and said, "this will be a Mizrahi night fellas...fair and square."
But Vivika "Vivian" Miyake Mugler had other plans behind her veil....
As did the Baltimore Revlons....
The Mizrahi divas looked on....
As did that one and only American ruler Derrick Allure
and the battle began...........
Vivika glided....
Caliente pumped....
Other children sash-shayed...
And each waited for the opinions of the judges...
Caliente Mizrahi continues on her road to being crowned Butch Queen Runway of the Year
The crowd cheered on....
And in the end, the Mizrahi's vowed: "It was shade tonight, but get ready, we will back for Jasmine's Ball...."
Derrick Allure on the other hand, was cool and calm as one of the last men standing
Sex Siren was another category that got things heated up. But then again, every time Kenyon Prodigy (above) hits the floor, we all get "hot" automatically.
Mike Aphrodite looked on approvingly...
And the rocksocking, sexy Father Dante Aprhodite dared anyone to deny his sexiness...and they didnt.
Nor did they question Foxxx Prodigy's sex appeal...
Dante was the fantasty "harley-davidson"...ride.from every angle....
But T.J. Mizrahi showed us why the blacker the berry....(you know the rest)
Little Broc Mugler did his thing as well
Grand Prize: The House of Miyake-Mugler.
Dash looked disappointed....
But Whitney said, "you win some, you loose some..." and tonight MUGLER was once again on top.

i was thinking about taking pictures but then i thought ... frank's going to take all the good pics! ive been going to balls for over 10 years (mainly in the mid to late 90s) but that was one of the best balls ive attended. i know some people were complaining that there were too many spectators but it was still an excellent ball w/ the energy. good to finally meet you!

THAT was MUCH! I never did get out much. HOWEVER... you have just solved one of the all time mysterious in my photo album. Now I know the name of the boy, knocked out on my bed during a circuit weekend several years ago. Either he's been getting lots of rest or work done... FABULOUS!
